“When you’ve reached rock bottom, there’s only one way to go, and that’s up!” ~ Matthew McConaughey as Buster Moon in Sing.
I’ve decided I’m not going to roll over and die. That’s usually a good thing isn’t it? Whenever I get really down, I listen to music, and that usually helps me recover some life in my heart. I’m actually listening to music right now as I right this. I’ll share it with you, if you promise not to laugh.
I was worried about what I was going to do to make money for a while. My mother-in-law is good with work at home jobs though, and after hearing about my situation she recommended me to several companies that are looking for work at home employees. I applied to two, and I already have an interview tomorrow at 0940. But that’s not what I’m excited about.
Twitch. No, that’s not an action I spelled out in text. I’m saying http://www.twitch.tv. The streaming site that has millions watching gamers, make-up tutorialists and more. I’ve always wanted to be a YouTuber, but never had the time or the motivation to record, edit and upload. With Twitch, I don’t have to do any of that. I can stream my gameplay with minimal effort or tampering while I enjoy my video games. I probably sound like I’m advertising, but I’m not. I’m simply excited.
I’ve thoroughly checked out Twitch and I started streaming last night. Throughout the duration of the stream I picked up 1-2 viewers, but that’s okay. It takes time, and I’m enjoying it. My wife thinks it’s a great idea as well, since I play almost every night with my group of friends.
So, yeah. I’m looking up. And ahead.
Not sure where I’m going with this blog. Could you tell?
Hmm. I guess I should say a little about myself. Go more in depth of who I am.
I’m Todd Matthew Gingerich. An 18 year old dude who got married super young to a woman I absolutely adore. Her name is Denise Marie. And yes, she’s pregnant with my super-soon-to-be daughter, Emelia Nicole. But, Todd, that’s not about you, that’s your family! I know, I know. Shhh. Some people say that you are who you hang with. Ahem. I grew up in a small Christian home with two older sisters and two younger brothers. I have parents who love me and support me and still point me in the right direction.
As for me, I’m an enthusiast, but also a realist. I dream big dreams, but always keep myself anchored to the ground. I guess I’m a sort of philosopher. Of my own sort. I question things, ponder things, etc. Man, I’m really struggling to come up with a description for myself. I usually fall into trying to label myself, and I don’t like labels. I grew up trying to be a specific person and ended up not fitting in. There was a point sometime in high school where I decided I was done trying to be someone. I decided I’d just be myself and roll with the punches. Since then, I can say that I’ve very much enjoyed myself.
Primarily, I think I should say that I’m a gamer (obviously.) I play Tom Clancey’s Rainbow Six: Siege pretty much all the time on the PlayStation 4 Pro 1 TB. I have a group I play with pretty much every night, as I mentioned earlier. We try to play as competitively as possible while still having fun. I love tactical shooters, and Siege is definitely the best I’ve come across so far. I’ve actually decided that I’m going to sell my 2011 Apple MAC (which also has an upgraded 1 terabyte hard drive) in order to buy a gaming PC that I’ll use for work and playing Siege more competitively. I hope to play professionally in the ESL someday.
Whether or not that happens, I usually define myself primarily as my wife’s husband. She relies on me to take care of her and I do my best to do so and more. Being a dad is a completely new concept to me. One that I’d wanted eventually, but didn’t expect so soon. I’m so excited to hold my daughter. So I guess you could say I’m a family man.
All in all, I’m an individual. I can’t really describe myself better than that.
I guess you’ll begin to decide for yourself who I am through my blogs.
Yeah, I know. That’s cheesy.
By the way! If you’d like to watch my group and I play Siege or just support me on Twitch you can do so at this website: https://www.twitch.tv/tgingerich513
I’d greatly appreciate any views, follows, etc, and be sure to tell your friends if they’d be intrested! Thanks!
